The Oxford Canadian Society (Société canadienne d'Oxford) is a newly founded society dedicated to building a vibrant community for Canadians in Oxford, as well as non-Canadians interested in Canadian culture. Rooted in values central to Canadian identity, the Society is inclusive, connecting graduates, undergraduates, and faculty from all backgrounds through shared community and events.

The Society represents Canadians across Oxford, bringing together members from both the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University. We believe that every Canadian — and every friend of Canada — should find a welcoming home here.
To ensure accessibility, the Society will establish a financial hardship fund to enable participation regardless of financial background. The Committee also seeks to include dedicated representatives ensuring meaningful representation of key communities in Society decision-making.
The Society promotes grassroots community growth through an active social media presence, WhatsApp groups, a website, and an upcoming mailing list. This foundation is strengthened by a programme of formal and informal socials, cultural events, speaker series, and trips in collaboration with partner Canadian Societies.
The Society also supports connections, friendship, and networking, linking students with alumni and industry as they prepare to continue their careers in the UK or Canada.
